Stacey king, nba champion and bulls broadcaster, dies at 59

National Basketball Association legend and longtime Chicago Bulls broadcaster Stacey King has passed away at the age of 59.

King's life and career spanned basketball and broadcasting

A three-time NBA champion with the Bulls, King played power forward alongside Michael Jordan and other iconic teammates during the 1990s before entering broadcasting.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1967, King's basketball career began at the University of Oklahoma, where he was a first-team All-American and helped lead the Sooners to the 1988 NCAA Championship game, ultimately falling to Kansas.

The Bulls selected King with the sixth overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft and he played on Chicago's first three championship teams from 1991 to 1993. After stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics, King transitioned to broadcasting in 2004, becoming a fixture in the Bulls' booth.
