Pistons extend winning streak, cruise past magic

Detroit's resurgence continues. Led by a stellar performance from Cade Cunningham and a dominant team effort, the Detroit Pistons defeated the Orlando Magic 106-92 on Sunday night, securing their sixth consecutive road victory and improving to a commanding 45-14 record.

Cunningham's double-double fuels pistons' road dominance

Cunningham orchestrated the offense with 29 points and 11 assists, while Tobias Harris contributed 23 points. The Pistons took control of the game in the third quarter, breaking a 57-50 halftime tie with an 11-0 run. The Magic, plagued by poor shooting and turnovers, couldn't respond.

Paolo Banchero led Orlando with 24 points and 11 rebounds, but nine turnovers proved costly. Tristan da Silva added 19 points for the Magic, while Desmond Bane chipped in with 17. However, Orlando's second-half shooting struggled, finishing at just 30.7% after missing their first 15 three-point attempts.

Detroit's road prowess is undeniable: they are 21-7 away from home and have won 10 of their last 11 games on the road. The team also welcomed back forward Isaiah Stewart after he served the final game of a seven-game suspension.

For Orlando, guard Anthony Black missed the game due to a strained right quad. The Magic have now lost their second game in three nights after squandering a 19-point lead against the Houston Rockets on Friday. The team’s offensive consistency remains a concern.
