Phillies, twins unveil vintage jerseys for field of dreams game

Next month, the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins will transport fans back to the golden era of baseball with their retro throwback jerseys for the Field of Dreams game.

Inspired by 1939 and 1961 seasons respectively

The Phillies will don a classic gray uniform reminiscent of their threads from 1939-1941, featuring a red script 'Phillies' logo with navy blue outline on the chest. The team will also sport navy blue hats with red 'P' logos and matching socks.

The Twins, meanwhile, will wear white jerseys with navy blue pinstripes and no trim, echoing their original 1960 designs. The 'Twins' script will adorn the chest in navy blue, paired with navy number outlines and a 'Minnie and Paul' logo on the sleeves.

Fans can get their hands on these vintage-inspired jerseys and hats online, as MLB teased the looks during the Home Run Derby broadcast at Citizens Bank Park.

The Field of Dreams game, a special regular-season event paying homage to the 1989 film, returns after a four-year hiatus. The inaugural game in 2021 saw the White Sox edge the Yankees 9-8, while the Cubs defeated the Reds 4-2 in the second installment in 2022.
