Kalyn Rose Heffernan, a prominent Denver accessibility advocate and former mayoral candidate, is outraged after discovering her image was used on an RTD bus without her prior knowledge or consent.

Heffernan's image appears on bus celebrating americans with disabilities act

The artist, Justin Bravo, won a design contest last July to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act. Heffernan's image, front and center on the bus, was meant to represent the accessibility efforts in Denver.

However, Heffernan feels exploited, claiming the service the bus represents is inadequate and that her involvement was not cleared with her in advance.
