A fast-moving fire tore through a residence in unincorporated Woodstock on Sunday afternoon, prompting a significant response from local fire crews.

Firefighters battled intense blaze in rural woodstock

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District received reports of the blaze at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the 12100 block of Baker Terrace. Upon arrival, firefighters faced heavy fire conditions exacerbated by the Home's location away from readily accessible water sources. Additional resources, including increased manpower and water supply, were quickly requested to contain the situation.

The fire was brought under control within 90 minutes. However, crews remained on scene to thoroughly extinguish hot spots and ensure the fire was completely out.
