Boston station incident: shots fired, injuries reported

Six people were hospitalized following an incident at the Forest Hills MBTA station in Jamaica Plain, Boston, late Friday morning. The nature of the incident remains unclear, but authorities responded to reports of a shooting and a scream.

Boston Police and Transit Police are currently investigating the situation. Witness Riley McMullan reported hearing a shot and seeing someone injured in the busway. She also noted an MBTA Transit Police officer being attended to on a stretcher.

Parts of the station, including the upper busway, have been closed. The Orange Line and lower busway are not affected at this time. The MBTA has not released further details.
