Folsom's beloved castle playground set for rebirth

Folsom's iconic Castle Park, a beloved playground for generations of families, is poised for a dramatic makeover. After nearly three decades, the wooden castle structure has reached the end of its lifespan, failing to meet modern safety standards. But rather than demolishing the cherished landmark, city officials have decided to rebuild it from the ground up.

Community spirit to reignite the magic

Volunteers of all ages are invited to lend a hand in the ambitious community-driven project, which kicks off this week and runs through April 12. The new Castle Park design will stay true to its classic roots while introducing safer materials, modern play equipment, and improved accessibility for children of all abilities.
