Architect captures serendipitous moment with smartphone

Spanish architect José Luis Morales Martín has made a name for himself in the photography world, capturing stunning images with both his DSLR camera and smartphone. His latest shot, titled 'From the Window, 2023', showcases his keen eye for composition and light.

Serendipitous capture

Martín was enjoying his afternoon lunch when he heard noises from outside his Madrid home. Peering out the window, he spotted two teenagers playing basketball in the communal courtyard below. The light, geometry of the pavement, and figural silhouettes against the building's shadows immediately sparked his creative instincts.
