200 Juveniles swarm motorcyclist, leaving him hospitalized in ventura

A shocking scene unfolded in Ventura, California, on Saturday afternoon as a motorcyclist was allegedly attacked by a large group of nearly 200 juveniles riding bicycles and e-bikes.

According to a police statement, the group of young cyclists, traveling in several large packs from Victoria Avenue to the area of Main Street and Mills Road, swarmed the motorcyclist at a red light, causing him to fall to the ground. The mob then proceeded to kick and punch the man before dispersing from the scene.

Police were able to identify one suspect and began monitoring the group, waiting for an opportunity to make a safe arrest. They later blocked traffic, successfully separating the suspect from the pack before taking him into custody without incident.

The juvenile, an Oxnard resident, was booked into Juvenile Hall for a felony assault charge. The incident serves as a stark reminder for parents to speak with their children about the rules of the road and the dangers associated with group behavior and decision-making.
